Brain Injury Support Group/Voicing Your Mind

Voicing Your Mind is a group for adults who have experienced traumatic brain injuries.  During each group, members will discuss their own experiences with their injury at their own pace.  The group will also discuss goals members want to achieve and challenges they expect.  The group is a supportive environment for all members to share their joined experiences, but also explore how each person lives their lives.  In addition to the support offered by group members, the co-leaders will provide therapeutic and speech therapy to connect better with each person’s self, family members, friends, and other members of our community.  This is an open group that meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.

Co-Led Processing Group

Processing groups are intended for individuals who have already been actively engaged in therapy.  In the group, members discuss their feelings and experiences while reacting to other group members’ experiences.  The group’s intention is to grow relationships with group members, and learn how to transfer these skills into relationships outside of the therapeutic group.  To promote this dynamic, group members are encouraged to share their fears, and perceptions toward other group members in order to increase authenticity.
