Mike Southers, M.S., LGPC

Mike Southers, M.S., LCPC

Currently, I provide the following services:

Individual Sessions-Individual therapy for people of any age.  These sessions last for 45 minutes.  During this time we will explore what you want to change in your life, and create strategies to make these changes.  Initial sessions are 60 minutes to discuss the therapeutic process in more detail.

Group Therapy-I currently hold a monthly co-led brain injury group, and will re-start a co-led processing group shortly.  Additionally, there will be a short-term processing group starting in the Fall for individuals in their 20s.

Workshops-I am available to speak at workshops regarding vocational counseling, crisis management, and communication strategies, Rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), and ethics.  If you are interested in other topics, please contact me directly.

Consultations-If you are trying to navigate the seemingly complex social agencies for a family member and would like an overview of available services and the application processes, I can meet with you in my office.  I also have experience working with the Social Security Administration regarding the process they use to determine disability benefits and their work incentive programs.

If you or your child would like to meet, please call me at 240-409-4596, complete the form, or e-mail me at southerscounseling@gmail.com.  Also, please keep in mind that if you use this form or e-mail, I cannot guarantee privacy since this website is unencrypted so only type what you’re comfortable with in vague terms.  Otherwise, feel free to call me.
